The Manchester Hotel created the first major new construction in Lexington’s historic Distillery District in nearly 100 years.
The Spirit of Tradition
The places we remember are shaped by more than architecture. They capture the spirit of their surroundings, celebrate local traditions, and create experiences that could only happen there. They become part of the community itself, creating places where visitors and neighbors alike come together and new memories begin.
The Manchester Hotel brought that vision to life as the first major new construction in Lexington’s historic Distillery District in nearly a century. Inspired by Kentucky’s architectural heritage, equestrian traditions, and the spirit of Derby hospitality, the 125-room hotel creates a destination that feels both timeless and distinctly rooted in its surroundings. Restaurants, gathering spaces, a rooftop bar, and outdoor terraces encourage guests and locals alike to experience the energy of the district throughout the day.

Architecture reinforces that sense of place at every turn. A thoughtfully detailed brick exterior reflects the character of the surrounding distilleries, while arched windows, layered masonry, and expansive views connect guests to the neighborhood beyond. Inside and out, every space was designed to feel warm, authentic, and inviting.
More than a hotel, The Manchester has become part of the Distillery District’s continuing story. It creates a place where history, hospitality, and community come together, offering visitors an experience that is unmistakably Lexington.
