Champlin Studios worked with church leadership to understand the culture they wanted to cultivate, helping define the materials, atmosphere, and design approach that would support a more honest and connected worship experience.
Belonging Begins Here
Faith communities are built on relationships. They grow when people feel welcomed, valued, and connected to something greater than themselves. The spaces that support ministry should reflect that purpose by creating environments where worship, community, and everyday life come together naturally.
That vision guided the transformation of 7 Hills Church. Working closely with church leadership, Champlin Studios sought to understand the culture they hoped to cultivate and the experience they wanted every person to have, from first time visitors to long time members. Together, we created a design that reflects openness, authenticity, and belonging, supporting a ministry centered on relationships and meaningful connection.
The result is an environment that encourages people to gather before and after worship, build relationships, and engage more fully in the life of the church. A light filled lobby welcomes conversation and fellowship, while smaller gathering spaces provide opportunities for community, discipleship, and personal connection. Outside, a flexible courtyard creates another place for families and children to spend time together throughout the year. More than a renovation, the transformation creates a church home where people can grow in faith, strengthen relationships, and experience the strength of a connected faith community.
