For The Motz Group, creating a headquarters in the heart of Newtown that felt authentic, collaborative, and closely connected to place was their top priority. Champlin Studios approached the project through adaptive reuse, transforming an abandoned warehouse into a workplace that honors the company’s story while supporting its future.

Where Culture Comes to Work

The strongest workplaces do more than support the work happening inside them. They express an organization’s values, strengthen its culture, and create a lasting connection to the communities it serves and that meant transforming an abandoned warehouse in the heart of Newtown into a headquarters that reflects the company’s mission to move people to better lives.

Through the adaptive reuse of the existing building, Champlin Studios preserved the authenticity of its industrial character while creating a workplace shaped around collaboration, craftsmanship, and community. Restored masonry, reclaimed steel, salvaged materials, and open, flexible spaces honor the building’s history while supporting the company’s future.

Every design decision reinforces The Motz Way. Honest materials, textured wood, steel detailing, and indoor-outdoor gathering spaces create an environment that feels authentic and approachable. Flexible community spaces, abundant natural light, and a continuous circulation path encourage interaction throughout the day while strengthening the relationship between the workplace and the surrounding neighborhood.

More than a headquarters, the building is a reflection of the people, values, and purpose that define The Motz Group. It creates a place where employees, clients, and the community experience the organization’s culture the moment they walk through the door.
