The best workplaces reflect more than the work that happens inside them. They express an organization’s culture, support the people who use them every day, and create experiences that feel welcoming, intuitive, and distinctly their own.

For Frost Brown Todd, that meant reimagining the traditional law office. Located within the top floor of a former downtown Lexington shopping mall, the workplace embraces openness, natural light, and hospitality while supporting the privacy and focus essential to legal practice. Champlin Studios organized the office around a central “main street” beneath existing skylights, allowing daylight to reach deep into the space and creating a natural path that welcomes both employees and clients.

Designed in a Different Light

Every design decision balances transparency with discretion. Glass-front offices maximize natural light while maintaining acoustic privacy, and thoughtfully detailed architectural elements provide separation without creating barriers. Warm wood, honed marble, exposed concrete, and refined finishes create an environment that feels contemporary, comfortable, and professional. Staff amenities and welcoming client spaces further support a workplace designed around people, relationships, and the evolving expectations of today’s legal profession.

More than an office, the workplace reflects a new way of thinking about professional environments. It demonstrates that openness, trust, and exceptional client service can be thoughtfully integrated into the places where important work happens every day.
