First Financial Bank partnered with Champlin Studios to reimagine its workplace approach, beginning with the 11th floor of First Financial Center. Through a collaborative process, the team studied how employees would use the space, how often they would be in the office, and what types of settings would best support their work. What emerged was a new model built around dedicated workstations, flexible neighborhoods, shared amenities, and no assigned private offices.

Work, Reimagined

The workplace is no longer defined by where people sit. It is shaped by how they work, how they collaborate, and how the environment supports them throughout the day. The most successful workplaces give people the flexibility to choose the setting that best fits the task at hand.

That thinking guided First Financial Bank as it reimagined the future of its workplace. Beginning with the 11th floor of First Financial Center, Champlin Studios worked alongside the bank to better understand how employees worked, when they came together, and what they needed to be successful. The result was a new workplace strategy that moved beyond traditional offices, creating a flexible environment organized around shared neighborhoods, dedicated workstations, and spaces that support a variety of work styles.

Every space was designed to give employees greater choice throughout the day. Workstations, huddle rooms, conference spaces, quiet retreats, a work café, and collaborative gathering areas create an environment that adapts to changing needs while supporting focus, connection, and well-being. Integrated technology, acoustical planning, and branded design elements reinforce First Financial’s culture while providing the flexibility to evolve alongside the organization.

More than a workplace renovation, this project reflects a new way of thinking about work. It creates an environment where people have the freedom to choose how they work best while giving the organization the flexibility to adapt for the future.
